AT THE end of a fantastic year for the Liverpool Everyman theatre, 2008 goes out on a toe-tapping, thigh-slapping high with Mother Goose this Christmas.
Boogie on down, do the funky chicken and help Ma save her magical golden goose from ending up as Christmas dinner!
Writers Sarah Nixon and Mark Chatterton and musical director Tayo Akinbode have worked their magic to bring the rock ‘n’ roll panto for all the family to the Everyman Theatre from Monday, December 8 to Saturday, January 31.
In a magical land far away Ma Goose lives happily with her son Bruce and the mysterious golden goose that Fairy Feathers has left in her care. But the evil Queen Narcissa will stop at nothing to get her hands on the goose that holds the key to eternal beauty!
Can Ma and friends save the day, or has their goose been cooked? Shout, boo, cheer, sing and bring your brolly as our heroes fly through the forest to save the golden goose!
The rollicking rock ‘n’ roll panto is always a great night out for all the family. With music, dancing and lots of cheeky laughs there’s something for everyone.
For the seventh year running, the panto has been written by husband and wife team, Sarah Nixon and Mark Chatterton; Mark is also directing the show.
Francis Tucker returns for his tenth Everyman panto appearance to play Ma Goose, with Luke Kempner as Brucie, her handsome son. Nicky Swift is back to cast a spell again as Fairy Feathers, and the magic is complete with Sarah Vezmar as Minxy.
Last year’s ‘Sergeant Pepper’ Adam Keast returns as King Bling and Everyman newcomer Tara Nelson plays his pirate daughter Princess Aurora. Rebecca Bainbridge plots her evil plan as Queen Narcissa, with Mike Neary playing her bumbling assistant, Igor.
Matthew Quinn completes the Christmas cast making his panto debut as the endearing Chuck the Goose.
