Motorsport: Jenny Tinmouth back on track after record-breaking TT debut

THE fastest woman in the history of the Isle of Man TT returned to the track on Sunday after her historic road race debut.

Ellesmere Port’s Jenny Tinmouth, who is also the fastest female track racer currently in Britain, was at Snetterton in the latest round of the British Supersport Cup.

The 31-year-old mechanic settled straight back into the championship, finishing eighth of 13 riders on her Sorrymate.com Honda CBR600.

At the TT she smashed Maria Costello’s female lap speed record of 114.073mph by reaching 116.483mph.
