Boot camp sessions taking place in Whitby Park

FITNESS fanatics are being put through their paces in Whitby Park.

The outdoor boot camp sessions are provided by Healthbox CIC, a new social enterprise aiming to promote health and well-being to individuals Šor groups, making it easier for them to make healthy choices.

The session, funded by the National Lottery Target: Well-being funding scheme and commissioned by Groundwork Cheshire, is a fun and different way of exercising outside and the sessions take place ‘come rain or shine’.

The class is for anyone 18 years old or above, or aged over 11 if accompanied by an adult, and is free.

Held in Whitby Park next to the main free car park every Saturday from 10.30-11.30am, the aim of the class is to get people fit while enjoying themselves.

It’s a mixture of different circuit activities, including boxing, weights, hula-hoop, walking and jogging.

Healthbox CIC delivers a number of exercise and activity sessions across the area. For more information, email healthbox@live.com or call director Simon Sandford on 07906 366775.
