Ellesmere Port M&S work to start on Tuesday October 5

THE first brick will be laid at Ellesmere Port’s new flagship Marks and Spencer store next week.

M&S spokeswoman Alex Blakelock said: “We’ve been working hard to develop the best store we can and prepare the land for construction while making sure that we can progress safely.

“We’re now able to begin ground works and foundations, with a view to starting on the steel frame in the New Year.

Chairman Paul Hodgkinson, M&S executive chairman Sir Stuart Rose and members of the project team and local community will gather at the Porsche Centre Chester, overlooking the site itself on Tuesday, October 5 to mark the ceremonial start of building work.
