Burglars disturbed in series of break-ins

A NUMBER of burglars were disturbed after trying to break into various properties.

At 7.30pm on Wednesday, a lone elderly blind woman in Warren Drive, Ellesmere Port, heard noises coming from her kitchen and startled some intruders by turning on the lights, and they fled.

At 4am on Friday, someone tried to break into a conservatory in Fieldway, Little Sutton, but was heard by the owner and fled.

And at 6.50pm on Friday, a crook forced open a rear window in Mallory Road, Ellesmere Port. The security light came on and the burglar alarm sounded. A concerned neighbour then checked out the house, heard a scuffling noise moving to the rear of the back garden, returned to her own property and called the police.
