Police and fire service called to stolen car found upside down at Stanley Lane near Ellesmere Port in the early hours of the morning

A TEENAGER rolled a stolen car on to its roof after drink driving and without a licence it is alleged.

Samuel Dunne, 19, of Ellesmere Port, was charged with drink driving, aggravated vehicle taking and driving without a licence, after police were called to reports of a silver Renault Laguna saloon car on its roof at Stanley Lane, near Eastham.

Cheshire police spokesperson Jo Preihs said: “We were called to Stanley Lane at about 1.15am on Friday, June 19, to a report of a car on its roof.”

Dunne will appear at Chester Magistrates Court on Friday, July 10, 2009.

Cheshire Fire and Rescue service also attended the incident and no one was injured.
